Date(s) - Saturday, December 1, 2018
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Santa Monica College, Bundy Campus
This is a gathering for people with FSHD and their support network from the Los Angeles region, for networking, learning, advocacy and more!
We have an exciting announcement! Dr. Han, from UC Irvine will be attending our upcoming meeting. He will speak about his Reachable Workplace Study, and has offered to bring his Reachable Workplace Study equipment to the meeting so that anyone who is interested may participate! I have participated in a similar study at UCLA recently, and all you do is sit in a chair and move your arm by following directions from a video.
Organized by the LA Chapter of the FSH Society, the meeting provides opportunities for people to strategize about what our needs are as a group, whether it is physical therapy, caregiving, mobility aids, physician referrals, etc. We are creating a community of people who are connected by FSHD to wish to find support, answers, and empowerment.
BRING: One dish to serve 8; please send me an email or call to let us know what you are bringing so that we don’t all bring cheesecake!!
RSVP: Laurie Heyman, firstname.lastname@example.org or 310-200-3589
Our agenda for this meeting:
1.) Planning for 2019
2.) Ghostly Gala recap
3.) Developing a Los Angeles Chapter website presence & online resource center
