Join us for this unique opportunity to visit the laboratory of Woodring Wright MD PhD. Dr. Wright is a leading researcher in the biology of aging, and has contributed valuable insights into the role aging may play in the expression of FSH muscular dystrophy. His current interest focuses on creating organs for transplantation. He would love to answer your questions about muscle biology, prospects for regenerating muscle, how science works, how future scientists are trained, etc. Read more about Dr. Wright.
The FSH Society’s new CEO Mark Stone will be attending, along with June Kinoshita, Chief Strategic Programs Officer. Dr. Mark Goldberg, head of UTSW Medical Center’s department of neurology and neurotherapeutics also plans to join us along with other members of the clinical staff. This promises to be a great opportunity to build the Dallas FSHD community’s relationship w a premier medical research institution!
Organized by FSH Society Board member Wendy Shack, our meetings provide opportunities for folks in the Dallas-Ft. Worth region to meet one another, share tips and support for living with FSHD, and discuss topics and community goals that would be of interest for this group going forward.
Refreshments will be served! Space is limited. RSVP to Robyn O’Leary by email or call 781-301-6042. Thank you!
