12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Stanford Hospital, Hoover Pavilion
We’re excited to announce that Kent Drescher, PhD, a clinical psychologist at the Stanford VA and fellow FSHer, will facilitate. He will share some observations about how FSHD has affected him, intersected with his career, and how he as a psychologist understands the impact of the disease on sufferers and family members. He’ll discuss the lack of research on the impact of muscle disease on quality of life and mood, and facilitate a conversation about how this group could help drive further research on the experiences of people in the FSHD community. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to knowledge and empower individuals.
As always, this is a friendly, confidential meeting where you can share and learn from one another about local resources, tips and tricks for coping with the physical and psychological challenges, and offer and receive support.
Directions: Parking is free behind the Hoover building (but not free in the multi-story lot). The conference room is to the right of the elevators.
