The FSH Society’s annual FSHD International Research Congress and Workshop is the premier annual platform for clinicians, medical researchers, and basic scientists to present and discuss new developments in facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) research, reinforce collaborative efforts, and facilitate new initiatives, and coordinate research and clinical activities. With the recent advances in FSHD studies, the numerous developments, large sets of data, greater availability of biomaterials from multiple large research initiatives, a meeting for dissemination of new ideas, discussion of new strategies, collaboration and coordination is highly needed.
