2010 Fundraising Challenge for FSHD exceeds goal!

January 2011

Friends and families! The 2010 Fundraising Challenge was successful, raising $221,000! Thanks very much to all of you who participated and Happy New Year 2011!

In November, the Board of Directors and other major donors joined together to offer a challenge to the Society's members and friends to support promising new work. They agreed to match gifts up to a total of $202,000, on a dollar-for-dollar basis, if made by December 31, 2010.

The Society is delighted to report that many individuals, families foundations and businesses in the FSHD community contributed $221,000 to the 2010 Fundraising Challenge.

Notwithstanding the extraordinary economic environment in which we find ourselves, the FSH Society has concluded the most successful fundraising year ever, raising $1,056,000 from generous supporters like yourself.

Thank you for supporting advances in research, education, outreach and advocacy.
